Privacy Policy

CREAssist provides commercial real estate search, parcel information, saved research tools, and related services. This policy explains how we handle information when you visit or use CREAssist, including when you sign in with Google.
Information we collect
- Account information: When you create an account or sign in with Google, our authentication provider may receive and share basic account information with us, such as your name, email address, profile image, and an account identifier. We use this information to recognize and manage your account. We do not receive your Google password.
- Information you provide: We may store saved search criteria, property research and AI-assistant conversations. If you submit a property or inquiry, we collect the details you enter, which may include your name, email, phone number, property address, and notes.
- Usage and technical information: Our site and service providers may process information needed to operate and secure the service, such as browser and device information, IP address, request logs, and cookie or session data. The site may store preferences, such as the sidebar state, in a cookie.
CREAssist also displays property and parcel information obtained from public or third-party sources. That information may include names or addresses in public records; this policy primarily describes information collected from people using our service.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate users, provide and maintain the service, save requested research, respond to property inquiries and support requests, operate AI-assisted features when you choose to use them, and protect the service from misuse. Google sign-in information is used for account access and related service functions.
When information is shared
We share information with service providers as needed to run CREAssist, including authentication providers (such as Clerk and Google), hosting and infrastructure providers, and AI service providers when you use AI-assisted features. Information you submit in a property inquiry may be shared with the people handling that inquiry. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights and security of users or the service.
If you follow links to third-party websites, their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Cookies and sign-in
CREAssist and its authentication provider use cookies or similar technologies to keep you signed in and operate the site. You can manage cookies in your browser, although disabling them may prevent sign-in or other features from working. If you use Google sign-in, Google processes information under its own privacy policy as part of that sign-in flow.
Retention and your choices
We retain information while it is needed to provide the service, fulfill the purposes described here, or meet applicable legal and security obligations. You may ask us to access, correct, or delete information associated with your account by emailing support@creassist.net. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and some information may need to be retained where the law permits or requires it. You can also manage or revoke third-party account access through your Google Account settings.
Security
We use reasonable measures intended to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date above.
